My name is Jean Hutchison and I have found my passion in photographing the beautiful landscapes and scenes from nature around us each and every day. I also enjoy shooting cityscapes and architecture. So often we get caught up in the demands of our busy lives and fail to take time to "see" the beauty around us. Spending a day or night, exploring nature is a great way to unwind and recharge. I hope my photos can bring a smile or a fond memory to those who view them and help them feel the peace and wonder as well.

I have embraced HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography in recent years, mainly because the process helps bring out both beautiful colors and exquisite details that our eyes can see but a camera isn't able to capture as well with one shot. I use three to five shots taken simultaneously and attempt to keep the subject true to the way it looks naturally, many times with a little boost of color.

The majority of my photos are taken in Kansas and Missouri. My husband and I have developed a love of traveling to a different area of our beautiful country each year on vacation. Thus far we have been to Colorado and Wyoming, numerous times, Tennessee, New England, Montana including Glacier National Park, Nova Scotia and the coast of Maine and most recently, California for a quick workshop and trip to Yosemite. I truly enjoy sharing our finds with my friends and family and hope you enjoy seeing them as well.
